There is an increasing number of poisonous substances in market with many domestic homes turning into a potentially high-risk area for children. The brief was to design a child-proof bottle for chemicals.
The design concept is key mechanism concealed in a compartment at the base of the bottle which is used to open the bottle.
This design masks the obviousness of how to open the bottle from children while making it easier for adults who suffer from arthritis and joint pain.
The key mechanism uses the existing actions of pushing down and twisting to unscrew the cap from the bottle.
